We think it’s awesome that Moms are a huge part of the nonprofit sector and are really the driving force for so many give-back campaigns. It’s because of this long-standing supportive mom energy that social entrepreneurship is neatly weaved into most modern business models! Looking at the nonprofit sector, we can see that moms have really taught our society the ability to be more of a community and to contribute.
Companies are often able to make a bigger impact on particular issues facing our society. In fact, earlier this year a study was done that showed how companies who participate in philanthropy are shifting public opinion and having a greater impact on political influence. This means Moms are having a huge social impact with the time, dollars, and energy they spend on charitable efforts. What charitable efforts are important to us at Kid’s Dream and moms alike? Well, kids of course! That’s why we’re putting our energy behind kids in need. And, we’re offering up what we do best - dresses for the holiday! We want every princess to feel special this holiday season.
This month we’re spotlighting an organization that is changing the lives of our local children here in Los Angeles. We’re excited to partner with this nonprofit because they’re seriously committed to being a positive force in the lives of our youth. We’ve teamed up with Baby2Baby to help them on their mission to provide low-income children ages 0-12 years with diapers, clothing and all the basic necessities that every child deserves. We wholeheartedly believe in and encourage others to take part in improving the lives of children.
Our partnership with Baby2Baby has started this October! We will be using a Buy One, Give One model to drive donations. What does this mean? It means that every time a dress is purchased at kidsdreamus.com we will be donating a beautiful dress to a little girl in need.
Why does this matter? Because every little girl is important to us and we want to contribute to great memories and a wonderful holiday season for kids that often go without.
We chose the Baby2Baby nonprofit for a few reasons. First, they are a highly effective organization and are diligent at delivering goods to children in need through their partnerships. Secondly, they deliver these goods directly to the locations where children would need them most, like homeless and domestic violence shelters, Head Start programs, foster care programs, and children’s hospitals. Third, they track their numbers and document their donations directly, so we get to see and share the love that you give when you purchase a dress. Finally, Baby2Baby is backed by many companies, celebrities, and other nonprofits who truly believe in their mission. There are so many people who are just as committed as we are to seeing children in need get the basic necessities, and sometimes this means a pretty dress.
We love that we’re able to share princess moments with all little girls. Please consider contributing to magical moments for little girls in need.
Here’s a look at some of the items that Baby2Baby was able to donate on behalf of the generosity of partnerships like this one.
Help us make an impact on the lives of children. They are our future and when we invest in them with care and compassion, we’re building a stronger society for all.
We are walking into the holiday season with grateful hearts and are so happy to contribute to more acts of kindness, charity, and general awesomeness in the world. It’s important to keep the spirit of giving all year round. We love seeing companies that partner with nonprofits to make a difference.
What are you waiting for? It’s the best kind of BOGO! And there’s a lesson to be learned for your little girl too, if you’re the lesson teaching type. Let your little princess be a part of this special purchase, that way she can learn about the power of giving. When she puts on her beautiful new Kid’s Dream dress, she’ll know it’s because of her that another little girl out there gets a piece of the magic too! Princesses unite!
